Bad music done right

Zebrahead - “Girlfriend”

Annoying cover by an annoying artist of an annoying song by an annoying artist.

Girls Aloud vs. Sugababes - “Walk This Way”

Cute concept…two great girl groups…but it’s all just doesn’t add up

Will.I.Am - “I Got It From My Mama”

More worthless sell-out shit from the Black Eyed Peas.  I do miss the days of “Joints and Jams” and “Karma,” but the sell-out shit is still rather good and entertaining.

Liza Minnelli - “Single Ladies”

Yes, I was forced to watch Sex and City 2, but i have to say, this part made it worthwhile…

Mousse T - “Horny ‘98”

Once upon a time, this was my theme song, but then age and good porn found their way into my life and now I don’t have to worry no more!

Lil’ Corey f/ Lil’ Romeo & Lil’ Reema - “Hush Lil’ Lady”

You know what I’m thankful for?  That not every fuckin’ artist has Lil’ in front of their names today like they did back in 2002.  And that there’s only one munchkin I have to deal with (that would be the Bieber)..

Merril Bainbridge - “Mouth”

I will not be making out with anyone whose lips taste “salty.”

Youth Asylum - “Jasmin”

A coworker of mine used to sing this song, and then tell people he was straight.  I didn’t believe him, especially given how he used to try so hard to come off as a playa.  For example, after graduating, in between his classes at the community college, he’d go to the local high school and wait in the parking lot with his nice car that mommy and daddy bought him, to pick up underage girls.

It wasn’t until i saw him recently, and saw how he let himself go, that i realized that no gay with any self-esteem would let himself turn into that…

Celine Dion & Anastacia “Shook Me All Night Long”

A lamb in wolf’s clothing…

Sarai - “Ladies”

And i think i’m done with my retrospective of hard-core middle class women rappers.  Maybe next week, i’ll my synopsis of black female rappers who were all about showing off the goods and then found God.
